Stock bumper mesh inserts

Stock bumper mesh inserts If i cut these plastic black things in my bumper will it hurt it. i feel it might be braces and i dont want my bumper to collapse. but if i can cut them i am gonna put in some mesh grill. would that look good?

if you want get the Alteeza/Type R grill, and paint the bottom red, and leave the black grill, it would look tight...
