You're talking to someone about your car and they start naming all this **** off that you should do to it. I was talking to this guy at the ball park last night and he had an older civic...i think a 97 or 98 and he was telling me all this **** i should do to my car which none of it i wanted to do and he kept insisting that i do it. Im like "this is my car right?" It really iritates me when other people try to tell you what to do with your car.

i so agree w/ all of u... BUT what i dont like is when the people at say... pepboys or whatever look at me like im an alien and i should be at like bath and body works instead of a car store... i wanted to change the filter on my cai one time so i went to the store and this FEMALE behind the counter was like "u know u cant put that on a stock intake dont you?" i was like "thanks for your input. did u have to look that up as soon as i grabbed the filter?"

the way to resist from hearin that is just dont talk about it. for example: a buddy of urs says nice kit but the rear doesnt blend in with the front... just be like "oh i didnt know that" or "oh really".

he has a 90 300zx NA, and that peice of **** always breaks down, his **** always has something wrong with it, i think he has put as much money in to it to fix it than i put in my car... he is always saying my car is slow and i should have gotten a blah... but my **** has not broke down on me.... im always the one giving him a ride when his **** ain't working.... my **** is slow but it is reliable... haha... but he will never learn... he would rather have a car that is 14 years old and breaks down all the time than a new car and is never breaking down.... newer is usually always better...

But yea... and i cant dump it because of this damn warrente on my ride.... PLUS... my ol man wants me to get this 100,000 mile warrente on it so now i cant do shat to it... that sux... especialy because thats like one of the only things i want right now... hmm that did not happen to me yet.. all mah friends like mah car... they have eclipse, celica, integra gs-r.. although i am wayy slower than them.. they still like my car coz they know I only go for show.... not for go.. I wouldn't race in the street anyway and don't have time to go to track and race either.. and my car is slow! LOL they like how I fix my car! which is good


but If they bitch about it... I will just ask them how much for the full tank, montly, and insurance for their car.. compare to mine one of my friends got a V6 eclipse (2001), his full tank costs hiim $30+ in 2-3 days.. insurance is $300.. monthly is $450 hah!

i hate when people tell me to do al lthis **** like my car is a 99 honda civic
and our engine are ****ing different
what dont they understand. We have a lot of other **** to work around

and they one that is gettin me lately is i should sell my turbo parts and just buy a TD kit. I'm like what ****in sense does that make when i been putti this kit together over a year now before SF or TD and the only thing gettin me is the fuel system
too much work and labor put into it plus i take more pride in my custom built one than one bought

Well I agree with pretty much what everyone here has said, EXCEPT I will add that I did have a positive "you should" experience.

I pulled up to another Civic 2dr, (that bronze color) and the guy asked about my washer LEDs, where I got them and how I did it and said he liked them.

Then he said I should clear my corners. First time I heard of it, looked at his and his were cleared. Said it's just an amber plate that can be removed. He gave me good tips. I'm still thinking about it, cuz you know, he didn't twist my arm or anything.

Basically I hear out people that try to tell me what I should do so I know what they think looks good and what can be done. Doesn't mean I'll do it tho.
