i have the second ones they work fine you should just go ahead and buy you some h1 bulbs and go ahead and replace the ones that come with it mine went out within a month. also the turn signal light doesnt fit right"they send you a new bulb and harness that fits fine if you want to take the time to splice it into the factory harness because the wire connectors dont match" and the parking light hole is way too big so i used a pvc grommet and just trimmed it to fit inside the hole making sure that the inside of the grommet is big enought for the light to slide into it just use some form of lube and it will slide in without and problems. fitment is fine took a few to adjust the beams but so far so good
if you inspect both of them, they are designed basically the same except for the turnsignal and parking light slot. soooo... there can't be a dramatic difference in light output TYC vs halo.
The highs have a reflective pod and the lows use a lens (like real stock projectors on high end cars). But all it does is spread (and drown out) the light.
It's all on opinion. I bought the halo projectors because I like how the ring looks (not when its on) and how the parking and turnsignal slots are both in the same pod giving the neat&clean 3 circle look.

stock has better light output than the projectors, unless you retrofit HID's in there. if youre planning on doing that, id get the halo ones, and make sure you reseal them well after youre done.
i think they just look cleaner with the one blinker/parking light. i had TYCs tho and they were good. a bit tricky to aim tho.

I was thinking of blacking out my OEM's... but I cleared them last summer, and now I can't find the orange inserts, and I would like to see all the different ways I can black them out. Does anyone have pix of that I can see? I know I seen a post here about them, but now I can't find that either. Things are not going well for me today. I seem to have misplaced everything. Thanx for all your suggestions, and opinions once again. All are very much appreciated.

Most people tap the halo to the parking light wires.
I like the look of the halos better because they're clear, but the TYCs are better quality and street legal.
