Rep Power: 0 Will My Car Perform The Same??
Last saturday I was involved in a accident. My headlights are broken, and my hood is pretty smashed up. Other than that, I have a bent radiator. I was checking other the weekend if my car was drivable and it seemed like it was until I drove it during the night. After about 5 minutes of driving my interior and driving lights were dimming and my car eventually died out.
After taking a look at my engine and talking to a couple of people we think that I might need a new alternator and or battery. My check engine light and battery light also turned on after the wreck. I am going to take my battery to Pep Boys to see if it is still good but I think that I might need a new alternator. I was wondering after I get everything repaired on my car if it will perform the same??

Rep Power: 0 Well if you CEL is coming on then you need to take it to the dealer to find out what the heck it going on. You really shouldnt be trying to drive it all around, you should be driving it to a shop to get it fixed.
Just take it to the dealer and see why your cel is coming on cuz it could damage your car.

Rep Power: 787 They will charge you for that. It's not related to any kind of warrenty work. It will cost you both for them to reset the light, as well as find out what the code is.

Rep Power: 0 I got an estimate on my car.... Around $4,000
They said I need: A new radiator, radiator fan, ?condenser? and some other stuff. That, added with the cosmetic damage, they said would be around $4,000.
This Blows...

Rep Power: 0 I spent 3 years in paint & body as a prepper and a body man's helper. I've seen good body work, and I've seen bad. I can also usually tell a mile away if a car has been wrecked. I can tell from a block away if a car has been repainted at all. It really depends on the skill and experience level of the body man, prepper, and painter. My advice is to take it to a good body shop that has a pretty good reputation. Usually a place that works well with the bigger insurance companies is a good choice. I would take mine to a honda/acura collision center in my city. The reason being is because the body men are certified and its an establishment you know you can trust for the most part.

Rep Power: 0 The guy who is doing the engine work specializes in Honda's and Acura's. Wouldn't a Honda/Acura collision center rape me on the prices though?!

The concern of price is dependent on who's pocket its coming out of. I say if its an insurance company thats paying for it then take it to where you know its going to get done right. If you found a place already and you're confident with them thats cool. I hope it comes out good.

Rep Power: 0 It's coming out of our own pockets, we didn't notify our insurance company. My brother has a lot of tickets and we have the bad feeling that if we notify the insurance company about this, then we will get cancelled. I am have a good feeling about this shop though, I think that they will good job. Thanks Man.
