Yep they saved mine too. Some of you alrady know. A guy ran a light red light and struck me while I was making a left. A huge van too, head on collision. I broke my hand and had to reconstructive surgeries. Now I have a 2 inch scar on my hand. I couldn't right for 3/4 of the year, could bearly do school work.

I look death in the face every time I glance at my right now, trust me.

I too blacked out for like 2 seconds, only 2 seconds. I saw the car at the light, thinking he will stop. I clutch and gas and boom! All I remember was the feel of doing a 180 in the middle of the street and the airbags in burning my face and the odor of the broken glass and airbag stuff. Man when I smell something even remotely close to that smell, I still get flashbacks. It's been 2 years since (the day before 9/11) since my wreck... my protoge was totaled.

The collision was not my fault, the drive was transporting mentally ill people and he was 70 years old driving as his profession. Now we are in court.

Trust me, I take the streets seriously. Always have and always will. I am one of the most cautious drivers, and maybe the slowest you will know... but I know when to speed though.

Always wear your seatbelts.

Hey yall. I guess I am new to this forum thing so excuse me if this post looks like trash.

I was traveling behind Siffolly when his crash happened (I was the guy in the Wagon...yeah yeah laugh it up). Anyways, I saw Siffolly turn the corner and hit the curb doing like 50-55. He fish-tailed and his car sent sideways while the momentum was still goiing forward. I remember seeing his car do a barrel roll into the grass and planted right above the drivers side door. As soon as he hit the grass he flew up into the air. I saw glass and CD's go flying all over the place. The car did 2-3 more rolls in the air and came wheels down on the passenger side where it rocked itself back onto all 4 wheels. He was facing the wrong direction about 50-75 feet off the road. I threw it in park as fast as I could and made a mad dash for his car.

The whole time I was thinking how bad of shape he could be in, weather he was alive or dead...messed up and bleeding. The last thing I thought was that he was OK. When I got to his car I heard him say he was alright. I yelled at him to get out of the car (I would say thats because I have wathced those Scariest Chases things one to many times and see cars blowing up and crap like that). Before he got out, he took his seat belt off...not something that really stuck into my mind at that moment. He stumbeled out of the car and I was trying to hold him up and get him away from the car. My other friend in the Lumina called 911.

After the cops got there, siffolly started to wig-out on the cops becuase he didnt know what was going on. They were getting pretty pissed. Then I noticed I had that fools blood on my Yellow fleece. He had a pretty good knot on the back of his head.

I guess only after everything was completely over, I realized how much differently things could have gone. If he would have flipped on the road.....came down on the roof....got thrown out of the car.

I am not going to drill the fact that siffolly made about wearing a seat belt becuase he did a pretty good job of that. But until Sunday, I never wore a seat belt. I know for sure that his saved his life, no doubt about it. I can't say I have ever seen him not wear one. Now I am sure I will do the same.

All in all, I wish just as everyone does that things like that wouldn't happen. I wish I wouldn't have seen it happen. But I am glad I still have my friend here, thats what counts the most.

You are a good compassionate human being. Very many people even on these boards don't have heart like you. Trust me, I have been here for while.

I too had someone that helped me and my girl out. It was lesbian lady. It was 'till that day that my entire perspect of homosexuals chnaged. She had so much concern. She was behind me and got out of her car, and helped us out with everything. When the ambulance came (we had no clue my hand was broken, but we were sure my girl hurt her knee badly) she finsihed all the paper work for us. Even told the cops that guy ran the light, so he would get a ticket to go on his record.

I just remember her talking about God. At the time I was hysterical and I wanted to kill the guy who hit me. I realized that we were saved, because my girl was not wearing her seatbelt 5 minutes before the collision! She could have died. And he saved my life too. You want to know why? That morning I dropped my mom at the train and she had me pray before leaving. I believe it was pray and faith that saved out lives. I cursed God in my head, until she mentioned his name... I soon realized he did good.

And siffoly, I didn't want to drive either. But you will drive once again. After my second surgery (over a year later), I bought my stick sedan civic. Can you imagine driving manual with broken right hand? I did, and I didn't think about buying an auto for one second. I even remember posting questions about auto vs maual for my condition that I would be in (after surgery). But my doc said it was ok for me to drive .
