ummm i know im not the loudest person on the site not many know me i guess i dont try to make myself known too well. uh im pretty lucky civics rock. last night around 11 i fliped my civic on the highway 3 times. what saved my life? my seat belt. always wear one. i just got outta the movies (saw scary movie 3) and me and 2 others were gonna go to our neightborhood applebees so all three of us in our respective cars (wagon, lumina, and civic) hit the highway...
its totaly my falut i crashed i broke the best rule of driveing, taking care of your stuff see im one of those lightweight wanna be racers so at like every sign, light, and stop i spun my tires but when they were balled i couldnt replace them so i just had to ride on them till i could afford some.
....anyways it was a little wet out u know like dewy just like moist and i was hiting a turn i was in the left lane they were in the right. after i passed both of them i just about half way though the turn when it happened my front tires lost grip and i hit the curb. as soon as the flip started i blacked out. my buddy said after the crash i was up walking around but i dont remember it. i just remember waking up in the back of the ambulance then going to the hospital thinkin this was all a dream......... i have no civic anymore i was listening to g unit in the cd player when i went back to the crash it somehow ejected its self all i have left are my side view mirrors and like car mags and stuff just ramdom stuff i still have ta go to impound and get my wreak back.
im sorry this is so long but i want all of u to understand i my not know all of u well and i know most dont know me but as u read this i want u to all understand u think airbags are gonna save u guess what. mine never deployed they normaly dont during a flip they said the only reason im alive with no broken bones or nothin is because i wore my seat belt
guys they do save lifes it saved mine
please always wear your seat belts and always always check your gear before u leave anywhere check your fluids breaks tires everything cause u never know what might happen out there.
thanks guys
i dunno whats gonna happen to me know i cant go to one of my jobs (best buy) cause its too far now and i have no pimp mobile but i have to thank god im still alive and well.
but everyone promise me that u will wear your seat belt and check your cars out i dont even know what my car look like now i havent see it yet but this should have never happened be save guy

Oh man sorry to hear all that. At least you walked away and your posting this today. What did your parents say? Yeah there are senseors for air bags that need to be activated, they're far behind the bumper cover and frame.
I'm sorry to hear that happened to you, but glad you're ok! I was in a similar situation a few years ago. I didn't flip, but I went under a truck and flipped the truck. The ambulance crew and cops told me the same thing, if I wasn't wearing my seat belt I wouldn't be here either, and niether would the women in the truck if she wasn't wearing hers. So I definately agree with you, everyone should ALWAYS wear their seat belts!
Ohmyg..I'm so sorry to hear about you're accident..Cars can be replaced you on the otherhand cannot. Maybe that was corny of me to say, but seriously..No street racing no crazy stunts here..at least not anymore..I love my car and glad you told us of the story I always wear my seatbelt too..What are you going to do now about getting around?

glad to hear you're ok...
take some pics of the car as a reminder. i remember when these guys wrecked their firebird where i used to go to school and the insurance company kept the wreck around for a few weeks on the campus to show everyone. they rolled at an estimated 85 mph, and the only thing that kept them all alive was the seatbelts. that car was fuuuuugged up, too.

well I have been in many accidents and sometime I had my seatbelt on and others I did not the times I did it saved me and the times I did not it saved me as well its unfortunately a two way street . See the times I did not have it on is what saved me. But glad to hear that one more person lived to tell the tale of their accident.

Hey yall. I guess I am new to this forum thing so excuse me if this post looks like trash.
I was traveling behind Siffolly when his crash happened (I was the guy in the Wagon...yeah yeah laugh it up). Anyways, I saw Siffolly turn the corner and hit the curb doing like 50-55. He fish-tailed and his car sent sideways while the momentum was still goiing forward. I remember seeing his car do a barrel roll into the grass and planted right above the drivers side door. As soon as he hit the grass he flew up into the air. I saw glass and CD's go flying all over the place. The car did 2-3 more rolls in the air and came wheels down on the passenger side where it rocked itself back onto all 4 wheels. He was facing the wrong direction about 50-75 feet off the road. I threw it in park as fast as I could and made a mad dash for his car.
The whole time I was thinking how bad of shape he could be in, weather he was alive or dead...messed up and bleeding. The last thing I thought was that he was OK. When I got to his car I heard him say he was alright. I yelled at him to get out of the car (I would say thats because I have wathced those Scariest Chases things one to many times and see cars blowing up and crap like that). Before he got out, he took his seat belt off...not something that really stuck into my mind at that moment. He stumbeled out of the car and I was trying to hold him up and get him away from the car. My other friend in the Lumina called 911.
After the cops got there, siffolly started to wig-out on the cops becuase he didnt know what was going on. They were getting pretty pissed. Then I noticed I had that fools blood on my Yellow fleece. He had a pretty good knot on the back of his head.
I guess only after everything was completely over, I realized how much differently things could have gone. If he would have flipped on the road.....came down on the roof....got thrown out of the car.
I am not going to drill the fact that siffolly made about wearing a seat belt becuase he did a pretty good job of that. But until Sunday, I never wore a seat belt. I know for sure that his saved his life, no doubt about it. I can't say I have ever seen him not wear one. Now I am sure I will do the same.
All in all, I wish just as everyone does that things like that wouldn't happen. I wish I wouldn't have seen it happen. But I am glad I still have my friend here, thats what counts the most.

i got in a wreck Sunday too....that rain sucked. Im that same type of person who spins the tires all the time, and I just rotated my tires so that the ones with traction were in the front, and the bald ones were in the rear...long story short my rear end spun around on a turn and I hit a ditch, but didnt do any crazy flips or anything. Im glad your'e ok. Seatbelt saved me too (well, maybe not as much as you). I hope I never get in as bad of an accident as that, but like I said, glad you're OK. Wrecking sucks.

damn man....... im really sorry to hear about that.... im glad your ok!!! hmmmmmm how about like a s10 or sonoma or maybe a slightly used 6 gen civic? anyways glad your ok man
think about it. Its so stupid to not wear seatbelts; yes, they are a bit uncomfortable, but I've always worn them, so im used to it. If they are a strain, get a fuzzy cover for the belt or something; at least wear the lap part. Without it, there's nothing keeping you from flying all over the place in a wreck.
I am terribly sorry, but glad to hear that you're ok, I think someone was watching over you...
The civic can be replaced, you cannot be.
I always wear my seatbelt, and always will.
Civicr34, that is a terrible reason not to wear your seatbelt.
Also, my best friend almost died from just wearing his lap belt, so wear the shoulder one too.
After all, it saves lives!
