I was in 8 car accident tonight!

I was minding my own business driving down I80/I35 tonight heading back to College when I see something really big in the road. I try to swerve and it didn't really help. I hit it and went off onto the shoulder of the road. Then I look back to see a monte carlo hit it and go off the road, then a ford focus (taking out both tires), then a semi took out some tires, then a ranger hit it, then another civic hit it. The civic hit it got poped up and swerved head on into the barrier between the oncomming traffic at about 60mph. He wasn't wearing his seatbelt and was rushed to the hospital for chest engeries. I ran to get the thing out of the road first (it happened that the semi that was pulled over right infront of me had dropped his drive shaft out.......the entire thing. then I ran over the the guy who hit the wall, he was alright but had a few broken rims. Well, my baby is at home and my SI rim is gone, but hopefully I will get it replaced tomorrow. Everybody except that last guy is perfectly okay.

Glad everyone escaped without too bad of injuries. Sounds like the other Civic guy will be okay if they got him to the hospital quickly enough.

The semi that lost the drive shaft was also leaking some major diesel also.

went to the dealer today and got a new SI rim. called the insurance agency of the trucker and they said they are3 deciding weather they are going to do a settlement or if they are just going to pay (they don't know because the guy in the hospital doesn't have medical insurance so its going to cost them a lot)

I am not sure how the other civic guy turned out. he had a couple broken ribs and such, don't know if he had internal bleeding or not. I got 2 new SI rims and all four new tires now and they are already on my ride. I also got it aligned today so I will be picking up my ride hopefully this weekend if I can get home.
