HID bulb light blew up in my headlight

Well on Tuesday I was at work on a delivery when I noticed one of my headlights was out, I was pissed. I have had HID's in their for 2 months now and one was out. Well when I turned them off and back on, the driver side one would flicker and go out. Well when I got back to my work, I look into the headlight and their was little pieces of glass everywhere from the bulb, it blew up. I went back to racing evolution here in houston where I bought it and then said it would be 5-7 days before they would have another one, they made me a little mad but their HID's, they have to send the piece back to the manufacture for warranty. They put a halogen bulb in their for the time being, looks odd at night though.

damn, how the hell did it blow up? Did you touch the bulb or something? I never herd of HID bulbs blowing up. After only 2 months too? Makes me question about getting HID's now too.

That sucks. Lots of people are having problems with the HID kits. I'll stick to my super white bulbs.

Its me Jodster LOL Prod hasn't been on at all this week, but back to your question. Well I'm not too sure how long they will last. I've had the ones in my EX now for 3 months. Plus I had them in my old SI for 7 months on top of that.

This is what happens when you go to a bootleg shop. Yes, I am bashing on them. I've attempted to deal with them before, and I am glad I didn't. they shouldn't be wasting your time by sending back to the manufacturer.

get hella ballasts on ebay... 100$?
get H1 HID Bulbs (known to burn/break faster then any other bulb size out there) or D2S Bulbs (BEST bulb to have for projectors) - 80-100$/pair.... = around 200$ for a high quality HID kit, rather then your $425 aftermarket kit.

Or

U can get an H1 Catz Kit.. But thats like 400$

then... u just make a lil room by filing down the tyc bulb holder, and now u got perfect HIDs Here is a link that will explain what im talking about... It has pics too
http://www.cyforce.net/forcesho/html...cord/hids.html

Get the new bulb under warranty, then sell the kit for 350$? or 300$? Then use that money for the options i gave u above
