Well i was coming home from work and it was dark and raining! and I live in a new area so they r still doing road construction! I was not aware that they were doing on it this particular street, and since they didnt put any signs either, i assumed all was well...UNTIL i heard BANG and followed by a Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (Air leaking from the tire) i was 30 secconds from my house and i got home and it was flat. well i figured i blew the tire somehow, until i took it off this weekend and noticed this:

Rep Power: 0 dude! same thing happened to me. going about 35 in a 55 through a construction zone. they were tearing up the street the same way and i hit the sewer, no sign of a potential sewer sticking up from the ground, just signs to alert u of construction, and i blew the tire and bent the rim. it sucked!

Rep Power: 0 ^^ ya as i sat on the side of the road waiting for my dad to show up with tools, becasue i lost the adapter for my lock nuts, i saw tons of ppl hit the ****ing thing doing like 50-55 and nothing happened. damn low pros.

Rep Power: 310 Damn man that sucks.. I would contact the city or the state's department of transportation and complain to them I'm sure they'll cover a new tire and rim.. Afterall that kind of protruding manhole should be marked with a cone or something....

yes, they should be responsible for the damages...check into it!!
ive had 2 friends that got payment from the city for things like that
one was for 2 rims and 1 tire
the other was for 1 rim, 1 tire, oil pan and exhaust pipe

Rep Power: 277 same happend to me. if any of you are familiar with columbus blvd in philly, the incident too place right infront of the gas station next to Show and Tell. they took like a 10 x 10 section of the right lane out. it was like 3 inches deep and i droped the right side of my car in it. like 2 days before i hit it they had it tape off wiht tape blinking signs cones and all that ****. but the night i hit it they took all the cones and **** off and didnt fix the road. luckily i didnt bend my rim i just blew a hole in the side wall of the cheap *** kumho 711 that came wiht my rims that i got from wheelmax. oh by the way F U C K wheelmax!

Rep Power: 0 I doubt you can see since you live in TO i doubt they would do anything about it. That really sucks they should put signs or something the same thing almost happened to me the other day stupid construction.
