Hey,
I have a regular (engine wise) 2002 civic lx engine, 1.6 liter and I was wanting to do something to my exhaust. I already have just a muffler on there and it sounds awesome for just a muffler. It is a little quiet though. I was wondering if I should striaght piped from the cat to the muffler or if I should just leave it. It's pretty much the same thing as buying a cat-back system because all it is a straight pipe and a muffler. I'm short on money too so tell me what you think.

you have 1.7 liter. and I hate to be meen but search. There is a thread giving sound clips. Also check out mufflertech.com. That is where I got my axle-bach for $140 shipped.

If you have an LX, the cat is in the header, so you would have to get piping done from the header to the muffler. You'll get hi end gains, but lose low end torque. Sound will be very nice, will be way different then how it sounds now. Id go with 2.5" piping.

no just go with 2.25, unless u wanna go turbo or somthing in the future.

don't straight pipe it... its not worth it, and if you don't wanna be that loud, don't get a header...
