omg..how could this happen to me..
i got an accident with my first, brand new 03 civic on 8/5 tuesday..
it was only 5 days after i got it from the dealer..how bad..
a man hit my car's *** and its rear bumper was broken..
so its in the bodyshop now for repair..changing rear bumper..
i was so pissed off by this accident..
cuz..think about it..its only 5days after i got it..in addition..it was the first car in my life..
it was the biggest present from my dad who really loves me..it was a brand new..
we bought this car even if we are hard to pay off..yeh our pocket is so small..cuz my dad really wanted to buy me a brand new cuz its what he could do to make me happy..anyway..it wasnt my fault..so his insurance company will pay for the repair..nobody hurt..car will be out just fine..i think..but i dont feel good about that..
so i finally calmed down 2 days after accident..but the nextday..which is yesterday..
what really made me fully crazy happened..

my dad and i was on the way to home from home depot..it rained really heavy..my dad was driving his car..01 mitsu montero..
when we stopped at traffic signal and talked a lil bit, someone hit his car from the back..
it was really big shock..i thought a 1/3 of his car was gone..lol
my dad said his neck hurt so i called 911
i told police that i was ok..(not ok now)
he went to hospital by embulance..
i took the car to the nearest gas station as police told me to..
police reported an accident..
the one who hit our car was a girl..not even a woman..she was pretty tho..lol
police gave me a small card that had his name and report # on it..thats it..nothing else..
cuz i got an yellow or pink paper in the last accident..i asked him "is this all?" he said thats it..
so i just came home back..my dad came back to home since the doctor said everything looks fine while my dad still has pain on his neck..
i tried to contact police or a girl who hit our car or her insurance company..
but i was never given any of her info. so i couldnt..
its saturday today and tomorrow is sunday..
should i wait until monday?
and talk to MY agent?
now, my dad has a pain on his neck..(he went to hospital at that time)
i have pain on my back(i didnt go to hospital, i said im ok to the police)
my dad's car is damaged some..
i think both my dad and i need to go to chiptronic center or something like that..a hospital that help ppl to get better from the soft tissue injury..
what should i do to get money from this accident?
im so angry right now cuz she doesnt do anything..i havent even talked to her..
her insurance company doesnt do anything..i dont even kno what insurance company she has..
i think i need to get an attorney to work with..

someone plz teach me what i should do and what i can do..
this is my first experience of car accident cuz i just have been in this country for 2 yrs..
i dont kno anything about the american society either..
plz tell me what to do..
i dont kno how u think about this but i will get the money as much as possible from this..
at least those ppl tried to help me out i wont do anything but its kinda..i dont kno how to explain..im so pissed off now..

Yea first, calm down bro, the next thing you need to do is call the police and talk to the officer that took your info. YOu reported the accident and they police should have at least her info and then from there you should be able to contact the insurance agency and go from there.Youll prolly have to wiat until Mon to do anything but there are several peeps on the forums that could help out. Just take it easy and calm down, be careful as far as those injuries and keep an eye on your pops as well as your health.

So you didnt you get her insurance info? You need to get that info from either her or the police report. Whenever you get into an accident, you should trade insurance info. If you dont, look at the police report which you should get soon. On that report it should list her info.

About the injuries your dad and yourself have. Whatever you do, make sure that you get fully checked out. Injuries can come back later in life to haunt you. So if her insurance company makes you an offer to settle, tell them you need to get fully checked out.

For example, here's what happened to me when I was younger. A guy drove out in front of me and I hit him. It was his fault for not looking. My neck was hurt for a few days and I didnt think much of it and never went to see a doctor. The guys insurance company offered me 1000 dollars and I took it not thinking that I was seriously injured. When you take the money, they make you sign a release form stating that they will no longer be liable. Later, my neck kept hurting and has never been the same. So make sure you get FULLY checked out! thanks guys for advice..
it is very stressful to work these things out cuz my english is not good enough to talk to insurance ppl, hospital ppl, polices, and others..
u never can understand this if u r american..
let me get more info..
