Ok so a freak accident happens to my car. The upper alternator bolt broke and flip down and hit something and sent a charge thru my ECU and fried. When this happened it also fried the obdII connector so i need to get my new ecu reflashed in one of my buddys EM2 so the imbolizer matched to the my key.But the promblem is that his car is a auto. and mine 5-spd. so my question is can i reflash the imbolizer a 5-spd ecu in a auto. car just to match the key. talked to a fellow member who had the same promblem he reflash the ecu in another car and it worked so if anyone can help me please i only know one person with a 01-03 civic and its auto pm me with any help!!

yeah, same situation. get a new ecu or even used will work. bring it to honda and have them reflash your keys to the new ecu. The problem I had was that the ecu wouldn't even connect with there scanners. They ended up having to put it in another car to check see if that was the problem. Then flash my key in that car and isntall everything back into my car, even the ignition switch etc. It ran me a lil over 300 for everything, I bought the ecu myself for $150 used. Good luck.
