I also have 17" rims and had Neuspeed sports installed and it was too high, as if it wasn't even lowered. Since this generation Civic sits higher than the previous models, I opted for Neuspeed Race and now I am happy with a nice little tuck. I matched them up with Koni adjustables and a camber kit and the ride is great. For even lower stance (but crappier ride) you can also opt for coilovers. Good Luck.

I am not sure about the bump stop making it lower, but Neuspeed does suggest that you cut the bump stop. You are supposed to cut it 1.25 inches.

does anything negative happen if you dont. I installed goldlines and they are very similar to the neuspeed sports, and I didnt cut them. I am happy with the install, but I dont know if not cutting them would have a negative affect in the future???

cutting them doesnt effect the ride height.
only thing it does it allow more suspension travel. if you hit bumps and you hear a big thud, your most likely bottoming out on the bumpstops and they should be cut. if you have no problems tho, its nothing to worry about.

wait a couple days, the rear should settle within 3 days of installing the springs. if not, its possible you got the sedan springs.

Cutting the bump stop allows the strusts to compress more. As you lower the car 1.5 in the rear (Neuspeed), the strut is already compressed that much more... so cutting the bump stop allow the strut to have more room to rebound (compress then decompress) which will allow for a smoother ride. If it doesn't have that room it needs, then it will take more trips (up and down motions) for it to adjust and thus create a bumpy ride.

VNlilMAN: I guess we were posting at the same time to say the same thing.. LOL.

by the way... I am very happy with the Neuspeed Sports, especially after I put in the spiral coil wrap. I can see why you suggested them.

soooo, because the strut does not compress as far as it could, does that mean the struts will be less likely to blow because they arent being pushed as far. OR are they more susceptible to blow because they have to compress more frequently in a shorter time??

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... it seems like the decompression is the release of pressure... constant compressing or pressure building "should" have a negative effect on the life of the strut... but I'm not an expert

Maybe it won't effect the strut life... It may just cause bottoming out... I am not sure now. Sorry, I'll be quiet now
