Koni's with GC or Skunk2 Coilovers
I just called GC and Skunk2, and they both tell me I need an extra adaptor to make them fit with Koni Yellows for the back. For the people who have that setup, it that true??? Is there a way to get around that??? And when you buy the coilovers, can you specify that you have Koni shocks and they'll send it for free???
Thanks for the help

You need them no matter what if you are running koni's. If you are buying from GC I think I paid less than $20.00 No big deal. They are a couple of collars that take the place of the ugly Koni rear perch. Don't buy them from people that are trying to get 40.00 or so for them. that is way too much

If you spent about $550 on Koni yellows, why the hell are you gonna cheapen out and get skunk 2 coilovers??????? Skunk, from various sources suck on our car!!! GC, they are kinda noisy......Spend the few extra and go for H&R or Tein. You get what you pay for. Just a headz up!

All and all, I'm asking a question here, and I want technical answers. If I wanted opinions, I would ask for it, so get lost!!!

Firewall, calm down!! Just giving you the feedback that has been supplied to me from various customers! Wow take a deep breath. Great that you got a deal on the Konis. I am glad for you, out of the 2....GC! GC does require that you purchase the "seat" for the Ks to use w/ their c.o. Also heard GC tend to have thread probs after about 1yr if you adjust a lot and live in a heavy precipitation area.

"TEIN directly have told me, the ride quality will be just as good as getting skunk2/gc and Koni yellow"
well there's one advantage with teins over skunk2/koni..
the teins shock should be like 1" shorter giving you more stroke in the desire range thus giving you a slightly better ride and less chance of shocks blowing.
i've also heard about the clip on the konis breakin on the rears.. seeing the pictures of them, i'm not surprised why..
