Axle "popped out" during spring install

Axle "popped out" during spring install
I brought my car up to install my goldlines today at Racing Concept (For those of you in the Everett area). It was supposed to take 2 hours, but they told me it would take longer because during the install on the front right spring, my axle popped out and they had to realign it and put it back in. Has anyone here seen something like this or are they just pulling my leg? Sorry I couldn't provide more info on the problem, that's just what I've been told on the phone so far.
that actually happened on my bro's 03 si. We were installing goldlines and we let the brake hang, which pops the axle popped out. It took us another hour to figure how to put it back. It was really fustrating, but a good lesson learned. So no they arent pulling your leg, but they should know that the axle will fall out if you let the front brakes hang.

ya thats one thing i was worrying about during the install... mine did get loose but it didnt fully pop out... it seemed like i couldnt push it back in but after jiggling/wiggling it, it went it. someone here pulled the hub so far down that it popped out of the cv joint... he had to open it up, put it back in, repack it with grease and close it...
Just grab a bag of extra long zip ties and tie it through one of the strut knuckle holes (for the 2 big bolts) and then through the ABS line bracket that's welded to your chassis (in front and up from your strut).
You'd think a shop would be aware of these types of things.
That is why I NEVER let a shop do anything on my car! Even if the job is complicated, there are comprehensive manufacturer's shop manuals available.

Happened to me about 5 yrs ago when I lowered my accord. I had no idea that the hub would fall and the axle would pop out. Mine didn't come out of the inner cv-joint. I called a mobile mechanic and it took him an hour to fix it. Cost me like $60 bucks. O'well, you live and learn.

LOL, while lowering my cousins car, I must've let the hub drop a half dozen times...it takes a few seconds to get that axle back in there, you just gotta not panic and think about it. All you have to do is spin that axle while trying to push it back into the trans, it's kinda hard to explain, but I think you get the idea.
