Stiffness

what steering wheels got stiff when i install skunk2 coilovers and new rims. i have 205/40/17 in the front. and my maintenece light goes on. is my tires properly balance right. or what is the problem

i remember my steering feeling a little different but not sure if it was stiffer...
maintence light probably isnt cause by the wheels or dropping. did you reach the 10k mile mark? or maybe the gas cap isnt tight enough? my tires were misaligned and i never got that light. i see no reason for it to either

i havent reach 10k, yet i got like 8k on my car, gas cap? the oil cap or the gas cap by the trunk? what would i need to change or inspected when i reached 10k

You gotta make sure the gas cap is closed atleast three clicks or the maintenance light will flash. For 10K maintenance, check out what the manual says.

at 8k, the light will blink 3 times everytime you turn on the car. at 10k it'll stay on... it says it in the manual, tells you how to turn it off too

o nevermind, i found out how to turn off the maintence light. is my steering wheel getting stiff cuz my alignment or powersteering cuz when i drive and let go of steering wheel it goes to the rights

ya thats because of alignment.. anytime you lower your car, you should get your car aligned

i have skunk2 coilovers and i also noticed that the steering wheel felt a LOT stiffer afterwards whenever i turned, but i guess u just have to used to it

my steering wheel never got stiffer but i did hear a noise coming from my coilovers. i think it's either rubbing or something isn't as tight as it should be. i know that my left front strut rattles now. i think it's a loose bolt when i did my koni install. gonna get it looked at first thing monday.
