Lowering car on factory wheels....
I don't have the money right now to spend the $1600 on the rims and tires I want, but I sure as heck have the $200 that would put the Neuspeed Sport springs that I want on the car and lower it a little bit. I don't have the steel rims and covers, I have the rims from the 2000 Civic Si on my car. Would it be rice to lower it on 15's? Would I have any problems with doing this, will the ride be incredibly rough (I'm expecting a little harshness from the stiffer springs)?
I searched and couldn't find all the answers I was looking for.

In my opinion, anything lower looks incredibly better, even with stock rims. It cannot be rice if you are using your stock wheels. Stock wheels look much better than some rims i've seen
Why would it be ricey. Just do what you think looks nice and stop caring what anyone else thinks. Also, I have those springs and I don't think the ride is any worse than stock. They are great springs.

DO IT!!! ya any car looks good dropped IMO even if it is with stock wheels. i had the steelies with wheel covers and i dropped my car with those springs.. the ride was good and all but it just isn't low enough for me... the ride is a lil worse then stock but its not that badd... look at my members page, my car is on neuspeed sports with stock wheels there. but ya just make sure its the right drop you want. i know i wish i would have gone with neuspeed race...

It will look awesome with those si wheels. It doesn't matter what wheels you have, a lowered car is a better looking car. Plus, the 15" wheels will allow the car to still ride pretty nicely. I wouldn't even bother with bigger wheels. The ones you have are perfect. I have 15" rotas with neuspeed sports btw.

i would recommend the kit first so that you know how much ground clearance you have. but if your like me and your impatient, just drop it first but you might end up having to spend more money later... or you could always get coilovers then it wouldnt matter if you got it before the kit.
Check my ride. Just a small drop with Pro Kit and OEM body kit and stock wheels. I might get Rota's but staying with 15" wheels for my own reasons. If you keep the OD of the tires the same, I don't think wheels make much differnce with the lowering.
