Please Read: Problems about Tein and Apex True Coil-over
I've been to a local performance shop called A&J (ppl from 604 area will know how good they are). They specialize in NA tuning and the JDM Parts, and they are the Spoon's dealer. Anyways, when i went down to order to order a JDM front and back DC5 sway bar, i asked them about the coil-over for our 2k1, and i've got this bad news.
Those guys strongly recommand us DO NOT install the Tein and Apex Coilover systems because they had serious problems in Japan. Those coil over are breaking the steering rod when installed on 2k1, which will turn u into serious accident.
I dont know if they are lying or if that's the truth, because they dont carry Tein Product. I'm just sharing this info with all u guys.

Hummmm I recall some RSX people having some kind of issue as well. not sure here but I think if you have to all the way as low as it can go and have the stiffest setting. on a bump it might break the control arm or some thing like that...... check out CLUBRSX.COM do a search
I know most of the Suspension parts are similar so the problems might be the same.
My buddy has the TEIN HA on his 02 RSX Type-s......... and he has never complained about them see ---> SILVER S ON TEIN HA
It’s not dropped to the floor but is still looks nice and rides good. Actually it looks better in person
Hope that helps out to answer any further questions

guys here have the HA-FT on their cars for a while now.. no one has seen any trouble with them so far.. they also confirmed that they will fit the 7th gen in the US.. so i might pick up a set..

O.K.
I'm gonna go ahead and clear this up
........
I called Tein.....(you scared the shiet out of me).....I am really looking forward to the Tein's.......
I talked to Twan w/ Tein, he said that the coilovers overseas are different than the ones we are gonna get. He said they are both made in japan (of course) and that overseas they have 3 different models
and he has heard nothing bad about them.....(who knows though overseas he's not there)
And also they are realeasing them in a week

Holy SHIET I called a while ago and they told me october.
the retail is 1,250$$ well worth it.(I don't have that much saved yet!!! I thought they were releasing in a couple months!!) I have heard nothing but good things about Tein. I am looking forward to having some badasss coilovers.....So everyone can have a great day now

I can tell you right now, if you drop your car lower then 1.5 inches then you will have problems. mcpherson struts up front have the steering connected to them. and when you put your steering on a coilover that can be moved up and down you will have problems. Really bad over steer is the biggest. I had the NEX coil overs and they are good on every car besides ours. i would try to switch lanes and go 2 lanes over and not one. and i couldn't help it. Every coil over system will be like this. as long as we have Mcpherson we will have this problem. the reason other gens have no problem is because the have a completely different suspension then we do, there steering is in one position all the time and there wish bone dosent turn. it stays in one position all the time. Mcpherson turns with the car. thats why when you put springs in out cars, and there not fully broken in the bind or pop every now and then. its from the strut turning.
So i wouldn't waste my money on and full coil overs. I have the Ground Controls and the Koin's and have no problems at all. When i orderd my Ground Controls I asked for a stiffer spring and they gave me a ver stiff spring. I dont bounce at all. and the ride still feels great.

Beside, i'm not against u trevor, but i wont take what ppl at Tein say. They sell the product, so of course they wont say anything bad about the product. Same things go with my case, that A&J shop dont handle the Tein, so i wont trust them 100%.....
I think the best way to find out what happen is wait for some of our members to install theirs and see what will happen next.
To be hornest, i wont be the first one to install it now.

kind of off-topic to this one, but what rubbers do u use and how's ur suspension set up?
