Mugen Front Strut Tower Bar

One piece construction, polished, and hella kick ***. Wouldn't it be nice to have something JDM in our cars?
These are for the Acura RSX. From the looks of it, the front strut bar might fit.
Here are all of the pics that I could find off the net. What do you guys think, will it fit?

Wow! Great pics it's just a real disapointment Mugen has ignored the Gen Civic but it would be cool to find out if there is a way to get that one into our cars. Do you know how much the Strut Bars Cost

Yay, Super Kitty rocks! Ahem...

The best price I've found on the Mugen front strut bar for the RSX is here: Mugen RSX Strut Tower Bars
The front is $252.20 and the rear is $223.10.
I don't know if that's with or without shipping?

it looks like it might well fit as far as the tower mounts, but i highly doubt that it would provide enough clearance for anything more than the stock airbox or an Injen intake...would'nt you agree?

other than that, i bet it'd be nice to have a single piece strut tower bar like that, and it really looks like it'd fit. any idea on price?

EDIT: thats an aweful steep price...does it really make that much of a diff for the bar to be one-piece to be worth that much??

If it's one piece there is no flex at all. That is steel too, so it's very strong. It mounts around that little raised ring on the strut towers. The bolts aren't the only things holding it in place. That ring helps to spread the force when you hit a bump or when you turn and the chassis wants to flex. It's a very good design IMO. I sold my DC Sports front strut bar because I wanted something that will work 100%. I could feel a difference with the DC Sports front strut bar, but maybe with this sucker the difference would be like night and day? The AEM CAI wouldn't fit under it, that's for sure. Not sure about the Injen though, that's a possibility. I will be going with custom charge pipes (for a custom turbo) anyway, so for me it doesn't matter. I just want something that's really really solid.

if you are looking for the 1 piece design, what about the neuspeed front? it's a one piece, won't flex like the DC sports and it's hella cheaper (95 dollars at tornactive)

Yeah, but I know of someone who had both the DC Sports and the Neuspeed and they preferred the DC Sports. He said he couldn't feel the Neuspeed at all, but he did feel an improvement with the DC Sports. I had the DC Sports and I felt an improvement as well. This just made me hungry for more though. Since a 5 piece design can work, a one piece design that cuts straight through the engine bay will work even better.

this will fit the injen SRI and stock box, but nothing like CAI's that bends up and then back down.

Everyone knows DC's suck, they have so much flex. I would go Neuspeed or the Mugen!

Even a generic would be better than the DC.

its just one guy's opinion grey...

personally I duno how u guys feel anything at all... these modifications aren't meant to really be felt... well, alone anyway.

I duno about the rear strut bar... how does the rear work? do we have the same place to bolt on the rear bar like the RSX? Because the cheapy rear strut bars on ebay bolts on a different location... underneath the carpet... where the rear strut is located...

I think the front MIGHT fit... only problem is whats between the bar..

If you ask me, I think Neuspeed's 2 point solid piece design is pretty darn good... RSX's oem strut bar is a lot similiar to it...

I personally dont think DC sport is worth anything... I dont even think they did any R&D on their bars... if they're so good at suspension tunning.. why do all they have is strut and tie bars? they're a big brand name in the US but aren't heard of at all anywhere else... not to mention overpriced too...
anyhow, thats just my opinion. not like neuspeed is heck better... I just believe more in the solid piece design over a design with pivot points.

oh yeah. here's a note: check out this picture: http://users.wpi.edu/~dobosz/mugen/dsc00092.jpg

compare it with other shots of the intake..notice how the PCV pipe from the intake to the throttle body is gone... I think he replaced it with an oil catch can..

this guy sure got money though.

No, they should be. I felt a difference with my DC Sports front strut bar. That's for sure. I just want to feel a bigger difference.

Yeah, I don't think that one will fit our cars. In the pictures you can see that it braces the chassis rather than the rear strut towers in the RSX. It would rock if that one fit our cars, but I don't think it does.

Ask auto-x guys and they will tell you to steer clear of DC.

Here's the rear tower bar for Civic. Not a real good pic, but you can see how it mounts.
