Suspension HELP!!!
Hey I got a 2001 ex coupe auto and i just got a pair of 17's. I want to lower my car now, but i got no clue about how to go about it. I want top of the line stuff that gives the best quality ride and appreance. What should i get? struts? shocks? springs? coilovers?who makes the best products?
You'll get a ton of responses if you post this in the Products and Parts forum.
I can start you off with a bit of info:
- struts: Koni yellows - probably the best for our cars, but kinda expensive; Rob from Tornactive sells directly to the people on this site; look for him in the Part and Products forum; he can sell you a set of 4 for $525 shipped; you'll probably have to pay a mechanic to install it for you though
- springs: Neuspeed ; again, search the Product and parts forum and you'll get lots of info on this

Take a look at the H&R cup kit on Group buy for only 610 bucks shipped. Comes with springs and shocks which will drop you 2 in front and 1.7 in rear. Hella good price in my opinion. If you buy Konis for 550 and springs for 150, already put you over the cup kit price. Plus the cup kit has a shortned shock that is dialed in to perform perfectly with the spring so that you get a comfortable ride. Konis are not shortened but just built so that they can handle the stress from a drop. Wish I would have waited, would have jumped on this deal instead of my $1000 B&G setup.

The B&G setup has an adjustable ride height, where the Koni/Spring or H&R Cup Kit is not. Besides, I have an EX Sedan, so the cup kit is out of the running for me. Since I plan on adding ICE in the future, I'll need the adjustable ride height to correct for the amps/sub(s) in the trunk.
