Coilover Suggestions 2005 Civic SI
Coilover Suggestions 2005 Civic SI
I recently purchased a 2005 Civic Si to have as a daily/project car. I have an 18’ Type R and I’m trying to keep the mileage to mainly track days and going out to nice places. I want to buy a great set of coilovers for the 2005 Si and was hoping I can get some suggestions. Budget is not a problem, I’m mainly looking for the best set, trying to build this car nice. Thanks for your time.

Best set for comfort, handling or stancing?
If you want comfort I'd look at Tein.
BC, K Sport or Function Form for a more track stance setup.
If they make KW's I'd do them hands down above all.

These would be good for daily and track since they are adjustable and linear spring rate. Not mono tube tho.

I had KW's on my 01 and along with all the other poly bushings and upgrade sway bars it was a bit stiff for daily. They are super high quality and if you live in a rust area are the way to go. Mine looked great after going through a few winters.

Re: Coilover Suggestions 2005 Civic SI
KW makes a 2 way adjustable coilover kit and KSport makes a 2 way and 3 way adjustable. You think it’s worth going for the 3 way? Or 2 way will be fine ?
Re: Coilover Suggestions 2005 Civic SI
Like I said if you live in a rust area and budget is high I'd go KW hands down. The Inox coating they have is amazing. Yeah you will get more adjustability with the KSports but unless you are tracking it I don't see the point.

The K sport look like they come with camber plates so if you need them that might be worth it too. My KW's (V2's) came with camber bolts so I could adjust it a few degrees with them.

Are you really going to adjust it much on a daily? Are you trying to extract every ounce of performance out of the car?
