Missing Pieces from KONI

Did any body notice they were missing parts from their front KONI's??? I was missing the white plastic washer thingy, a metal washer, & a nut... I called Koni and had the Tech guy bring up the parts info that comes with our Koni's & he was REALLY shocked when he noticed the 3 pieces were missing in the computer...Meaning...they've been shipping all their 2001 Koni's short these pieces.. Pretty much you have enough for the one shock but not two....CALL KONI right away to get these shipped out to you, took 5 days...If you had them installed at a shop they probably replaced the metal washer & nut but not the White protector thang...... ..I wonder if people with their front shocks blowing out had to do with one of their shocks missing that important white plastic washer thing

Forgot to mention this is only on the newer version of the Koni's

All my parts were included. However, one of my strut inserts blew out after sliding it into the OEM strut casing. As soon I was done tightening the bolt from the bottom, I noticed that there was fluid coming out of the Koni insert. I also compressed the strut shaft by hand and it just sat in the full down position (didn't rebound).

I've faxed the warranty info to Koni and they are going to 3-day a new strut insert to me. What a joke!

I forgot to mention, this is only on the newer version of the Koni's. The newer version comes with special lock washers for the bottom half of the shock...
