Is it worth it?
Is it worth it?
I got my 02 civic six pretty much all stock and I was wondering if it was worth investing in a new suspension for the car...
What is the average price for a new suspension...
Advice is greatly appreciated

Re: Is it worth it?
Si? Are you planning on modding it? There's nothing wrong with stock if stock is what you want.
How does it run? What kind of shape is it in? Are you planning on selling it? You won't really profit from any sort of mod, so it's more a matter of whether you will enjoy your car more with the modifications or not, and if their cost is worth it to you.
Depends on how much you're willing to spend and how in-depth you're willing to go. You can spend a few hundred on some lowering springs and shocks/struts, or you can go a few thousand for coilovers, camber kits, rims, tires, sway and tie bars and the works.
Just search around the forums here for ideas.

A word of caution: once you start modding, it can get VERY addicting.

Re: Is it worth it?
get a 19mm rear sway bar off a RSX, slap it in and then come back here smiling. get all the hardware to install it. not sure if the DX had a rear sway bar, so might need a Progress kit to link it to the rear control arms.

Re: Is it worth it?
Start with the sway bar, like said previously the 19mm rsx type s rear sway bar is a fantastic improvement over the stock 15mm. I got mine off eBay for $45 and installation was a breeze...after I took it back off to put it on the correct way. I squeal wheels around corners now just because I don't feel as though I'll tip over. If it's in the funds a set of tokico blues with Tein s tech lowering springs would be a nice upgrade as well. Also said previously stated moding is addicting so have a clear idea of what you want before you start. If you just want a smoother ride, the sway bar alone may due, if you want lower, your looking at springs and struts or coilovers. It's all up to you obviously, but it's an expensive habit. Even when shopping for good deals.

ctr suspension only requires light modding to fit in the em2. I did it with a dc5 type r suspension in my old em2.
