Re: Front wheel studs
Sorry, not a mechanic. Pretty sure if done correct... there will be no damage.
Maybe ezone will chime in.
I still find it hard to fathom why Honda continues to build them this way WHEEL STUDS BREAK, every other manufacture makes provisions to change them out easily.

Re: Front wheel studs
IF there is sufficient room, I just hammer them out and draw them in using a suitable nut and a stack of greased washers.
On the car.
Only disassemble what is absolutely necessary (speed is time, time is money!)
Sometimes the base of the stud has to be trimmed to get clearance......each situation is different.
Sometimes the knuckle has to be pulled and hub pressed.
It all depends on what there is to work with, I can't tell you about your car specifically.

Re: Front wheel studs
I guess I'm the unlucky type. I removed the knuckle last night going to get hub/bearing pressed out today. I'm replacing control arm bushings while its apart the forward one is bad. Doing the other side control arm too while I am at it. This is going pretty good so far I got some good pointers from a buddy at work so that helped. I guess I'll have to deal with the intermittent lo-beam issue next week. Oh the life of a cheap skate hate to pay for something I can do myself.

Re: Front wheel studs
On the low beams... I replied to your thread on them. Honda certainly needs to know that there fix is not working and should step up. There was also a 2nd recall, maybe you can get in on that ??
Did you get the column covers off ??
The defective/intermittent wire may be obvious by sight.

Re: Front wheel studs
I have not had an opportunity to look at the headlight wiring yet. This wheel stud issue popped up so have been busy with that I am stopping by the Honda Dealer tomorrow to chat with them about head light issue after recall has been previously completed.

Re: Front wheel studs
You can get a repair kit likely at a fair price but..... Getting those pins out of the housing takes some work for certain. And there safety recall failed to hold up.
