I agree, if you're only a year out, don't waste money on transitional junk. When the money and time falls in your hands, invest in name brand springs and quality shocks like Tockicos or Konis.
Re: springs any good?
alright thanks guys makes sense to just put the good stuff in. do you guys know of a site or somewhere i can get springs for lower price other than ebay? i feel like i might get ripped off on ebay and buy imitation springs.
also i want like an inch and a half drop, could i run those on stock struts? and how long will it last?

Free shipping over $100, use coupon code "5offfive" for 5% off. I think that coupon code still works
edit: You can run a 1.5 inch drop on stock struts.. but it's like a ticking time bomb.. I'd make sure the next thing I'd save for was a set of quality struts that can handle the drop like tokico blues. A couple good springs that would give you that drop are the Tein S-Techs (1.3"/1.4" F/R) and Eibach Sportlines (1.4" F/R)
Also, keep in mind that if you go that route, you'd spend money on alignments twice, so that's an extra $100 or so to factor in each time you install suspension components. So if you do springs/struts in one go, that's $100. Springs, then struts, that's $200 in alignment costs..

I say you get those eBay springs...
That way, when they fail we can make a solid example of you and show other ppl who want to cheap out on suspension why they shouldnt cheap out
