Eibach GC's
Eibach GC's
Ok so I've been doing my research on how I want to lower my car. Came to the conclusion that with my budget I'm stuck with either eibach GCs or rokkors like most people. I'm really trying to avoid the rokkors.
I found some GCs off an 01 for a great price. And I've tons tons of searching but either I'm oblivious or just retarded. Will these work with an 04?
Again my apologies if this is stupid but with so many suspension threads it's hard to go through them all.

Why do you associate the small percentage of cheap *** idiots with the majority?
Ther're two things you absolutely don't cheap out on in your car: suspension and brakes. (because it's life threatening)
It's nothing personal but if your dumb enough to cheap out on suspension (and get rokkors) then you deserve the Darwin award.
Rokkors are absolute POS (the price should have given you the clue). Do yourself a favor and choose something else.
And gc that are made for an 01-02 won't fit your 04. 01-02 uses a 50mm strut vs a 55mm that's used in the 03+

I know I sould harsh on my response about the Rokkors but it's nothing personal. Like any parent will say, "it's for your own good." so nothing personal.

Re: Eibach GC's
Gc is a great option. You can upgrade strut later if you don't mind the extra time/labor/cost of redoing the suspension
I can personally vouch for the gc cuz that's what I have

Re: Eibach GC's
Yeah those are the ones I'm asking about. Just wanted to clarify fitment. But the pic above is what he just took for me and they are 55mm. So I would assume that these should fit properly.
Re: Eibach GC's
Yeah these are the sleeves. Again I believe "still new to the whole lowering thing". But from what I've read and been told I need are 55mm and that's what these are. So I should be good.
Re: Eibach GC's
According to the previous owner, they did not fit well and he used other means to fill in the gaps so they were snug. With the price i got them for, if they don't fit on the struts I'll resell them. I understand that wasn't a very accurate method, but we will see. IMO better than jumping straight towards rokkors.
Re: Eibach GC's
+1 to that
And also to the scetchy misfit sleeves...I used insulated wire wrapped around the shock body in one layer and then covered in electrical tape to center the sleeve...ghetto, but it does the job and thg GC's are awesome.
