Eibach Proline vs Sportline

What's your guys opinion for a 2001 civic 4 door

And what's really the difference between the two?

I know it's almost a 2" drop

Re: Eibach Proline vs Sportline

The pros are a 1 inch drop and the sportlines are 1.4 inch. I have the sportlines on my 01 and like them. The only thing that might bother you is that the back wheel gap will be smaller then the front. I have 1 finger gap in rear and 2 1/2 to 3 in front. The car sits level it just looks like its not.

And that is one of the reasons u get coilovers.

You generally want a lower drop in front than the rear to even the gap of the front/rear.

The Only lowering spring that does this is the neuspeed springs

If I do, do the ebachi with that gap will it mess anything up?

I was looking into 17" rims with low pro tires

no. it doesnt really do anything. by nature, our car's front is higher than the rear to compensate for the wheel turning left/right.

most manufactures dont take that into account and "lower" the car the same length every corner.

any civic owner (our 7th gens) that is lowered with springs will tell you its not even.

look at these pictures for example. look at it closely. the rear is dropped even with the front.

Okay I see it now, but If I do choose prolines/ tokico blues

That wouldn't be a bad set up?

Re: Eibach Proline vs Sportline

its sportlines or prokits...

not "prolines"

hahah...

but you can go with with eibach (make of sprortlines/prokits) they make great stuff.

personally 1" drop is not noticable. 2" drop would be better in my opinion.

im dropped 4" and i still dailydrive without a problem.

Re: Eibach Proline vs Sportline

this guy is selling the neuspeed springs i was talking about

https://www.civicforums.com/forums/6...tuff-hood.html

$200 springs for $70. not bad. they drop 2.25front and 2.0 rear.

Re: Eibach Proline vs Sportline

Every time I type pro it comes up with proline lol

But if I do a 4" drop will I get raped by speed bumps lol?

I want the drop like the pictures you posted

So neu and h&r will allow 4" how much do they run?

Since eibach is 1.4

Re: Eibach Proline vs Sportline

The only way to surpass a 2.25 inch drop (neuspeed race) is with an adjustable set-up with a minimum of koni yellows.

Re: Eibach Proline vs Sportline

Here is a pic of mine that you can see the larger gap in the front. Eventually I am going to get coil overs but these are good for now. I did need a camber kit in the back to set it back to factory. If this is going to bother you then get the Neuspeed, H&R, or adjustable coil overs.

The first picture-are those sportlines or are those some other spring? And if they are sportlines is it riding on tokicos?

The only difference between the front and rear is the body the damper sits in.

The yellow are a-freaking-mazing. Their adjustability is awesome and are well known in the autox industry.

But they are a b1tch to install. Not your typical easy install job

A set of 4 is 700? Hmm

Well that's not bad especially paying 1k total

Coil overs are 1k period lol
