HELP with LOWERING and i NEED for WINTER!!!
I am a nooooobie with any type of upgrade. I gotta 05 civic coupe LX-G and I read alot of threads about lowering and all that but i've never found an answer if its ok to drive in the winter time with just aftermarket springs with stock shocks. The store here in toronto recommended me to get springs with shocks if im going to drive in the winter. Should i take there advice? Also, anyone from toronto know any shops to get em at for real good price then please tell me!
I just bought my civic used from honda a month ago as my bday gift wit 52xxxkm and i jus put 2000 more on it. so hopefully my shocks would be ok with aftermarket springs for the winter?

You can do it but stock shocks are not meant to be used with lowering springs, eventually they will start to leak and blow out, thats why they are suggesting you buy shocks (meant to be lowered) with springs. As far as in winter do you mean with snow? I guess you would want to maybe not drop it 4 inches maybe go 1.5" but it's up to you.

I got Progress coilovers for $890 shipped from CorSports, if you went this route you could always raise or lower it more if you want. You would just need to have it aligned after.
