bought an 2002 civic EX - 4months ago

changed to 18inch wheels - 225-45-18 RAPTIS tires .



My mechanic says - I need to replace both the front struts/ strut mounts and rear shocks. He says the front struts are completely worn out and back ones are not good either. I am not a racer - But I love a Nice Ride. I would love to lower an inch. Should I buy a complete kit or buy individual parts .

I'm unable to see the link here at work, but if they are indeed agx shocks, I've heard only good reviews.

Oh, if you want to lower your car, you'll need springs in addition to new shocks.

$80 for KYB AGX Damn! i need those babies shipped to South Africa! only ones i can find that will ship here are like $500 for the kit

EDIT: then again shipping an $80 Shock to here will probably cost over $100 and then I'd have to pay +- 34% tax. FAIL

I read a lil bit in the past couple of days about coilovers / shock-spring combinations . Since I am not a racer , I would go with a good quality shocks / struts and springs to lower the ride.

I got these already. Ordered from tirerack.com got the fronts for about 344$ and rears for 250$ expensive. I didnt really look around.

But I got some ksport springs (off ebay) it rides alright but somereason the rear sits lower than the front unsure of the reason.other than that its rides ok just waiting a few more weeks before i start playing with the adjustments.
