Re: here we go

ok so an update:
went to shop near my house, had a guy try and twist the bolt out, then we used a torch- nothing.
then i had him cut the nut off holding the bolt in- still wouldnt move
its rusted through the shock...
so im ordering new shocks, then im gonna have him cut off the end of the shock and well need a new bolt..
what a bitch has this been.
but luckily he didtn charge me anything for the hour he put in today cuz i new this cute chick who was working in the lobby and she had him hook me up

Re: here we go

Its always the last ****ing bolt! Every time! That **** has happened to me every time I've work on the vic. Now penetrating oil 24, 18, 12, 8, and 4 hours before I start to work on her. Havent cut, stripped, or broke a bolt since. DEEP CREEP, I swear by it!

what do you do now? is the stuff called "deep creep?" and you put it on 24 hours prior to working on it then again 6 hours later, again 6 hours later, again 4 hours later, and again 4 hours later?

Re: here we go

So finally was able to install my tokicos onto my rear suspension yesterday. It was such a pain cutting that bolt holding the shock down off, me and my neighbor used like 3 big *** saws, took like 4 hours just cutting, that bolt is made out of liek titanium or sumthing. finally got it off and saw that the bolt was completely rusted and bonded with the bushing on the shock...like one piece of metal
