elementalchain is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: drop problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

i would say to maybe grind down the bottom of the flange where the exhaust bolts together. I have a tsudo exhaust as well but i am only dropped 1.75f and 1.5 r on 215 45 17. I have rubbed going over speed bumps a few times.

Re: drop problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hah, welcome to driving a lowered car. EM/ES's have a pretty shallow exhaust tunnel too, so they tend to hang low with aftermarket stuff. (My Integra is almost a full inch lower than my Civic was, and I almost never hit the exhaust). It will scrap on speed bumps and when you go up a ramp like at the end of a driveway with a sidewalk, but it shouldn't be any really bad damage. You could have a shop just weld the pipes together and ditch the flange, or grind away like elemental said. Or just see how bad it is, and go from there. A little bit of scraping won't hurt it too much as long as you take it real slow as you scrape.

Re: drop problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

The lower you go, the more compromises you have to make. Whether that means scraping, or a lot of negative camber to clear your fenders...it probably isn't going to be like stock, hah. Since you're getting coilovers, I would start higher than that and see how it goes. After a while if you want it lower, then go for it. Just make sure you get an alignment both times or you'll shred your tires in no time.

Re: drop problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

im thinking of cutting the lower part and welding on a smaller tube and angle it a little higher to be almost flush with the heat sheald im not worried about performance loss i mean **** its a vp non vtec i basically got the exhaust to make it sound nice.how much do you think that would cost at a shop it cant be that much??????.......ya and my style isant exactly normal i want lots of wheel poke im going towards more of a hybrid tuner/lowrider look .

Re: drop problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

closer to the heat shield might mean more banging and noise, especially in the rain.
