Shocks/Struts.. Dampers.. Springs.. wth?
I personally and kinda retarded as far as suspension terminology goes. The most I know, I guess, is what a spring is..
Im not sure the difference between coilovers and shocks+springs.. but all I know is my '02 Civic needs a new set of it all, since it's still riding old stock suspension.

This is my '02 Civic.. I've been avid on the site trying to find some info one what kinda suspension to buy, however, I haven't found any break down as to what's what, and what does what.. Ultimately I want a smooth ride, as I dont do too much racing, because right now I feel every pebble on the road, and there's also a loud clunk whenever I dip into a pot hole or slowly go over a speed bump.
Any posts as to what kinda setup I should be looking at would be helpful.

If you are on the stock suspension and you are feeling "every pebble in the road"... well, that's most likely because of your wheel & tire combo rather then your suspension.
Regardless, if you are looking to lower the car & maintain a comfortable ride you have relatively limited options.
Try to stick with a progressive rate spring & be sure to pick up a good damper to go with it, Bilstiens would be a good choice.
