energy suspension LCA bushings...
Re: energy suspension LCA bushings...
FYI - Did you know if you tighten the control arm bolts to spec with the vehicles weight off them they will make alot more noise than if you torqued em down on say an alignment rack w/ the vehicles weight on it..
Just a little tech tip

Re: energy suspension LCA bushings...
ok finally got to it had to hammer the hell out of the lower balljoint. then i couldnt take old bushings of with a hammer so took it to a press then they said they could not get the press to take of the rear ones because the arm was on the way of it. its ok tho no more serious poping sound because atleast one of the two in each arm got replaced. when it gets a little warmer then ill redo the other 2 that are left.
next will be taking the tranny off to fix a rear main seal leak!

no, gotta have a press for the oem bushings, but for the ones i bought, all u need is your own two hands, and the compliance bushing can be pressed in with a vice

also, good tip about the alignment rack, knew that one, but im too low to get onto an alignment rack, i used a bottle jack to put weight on it to torque the bolts

i'm considering switch out my oem with maybe the energy ones, but i'm actually considering stick with the rubbers such as mugen hard rubber bushings, hear they last longer.

Re: energy suspension LCA bushings...
yeah, the aluminum spherical bushings are excellent for track cars and race cars, not great for the streets. J's racing acually has a set the whole front set of spherical aluminum bushings, but that runs about $600-700 from aj-racing.com. it's not posted on their site, but i was emailed and quoted. i've also been looking into the super pro caster adjusting bushings, but yet again, poly? or hard rubber? hmmm....

Re: energy suspension LCA bushings...
yea so far the energy ones rock, no noise or squeak, so so far i give em 2 thumbs up, shifts are better, and wheel hop is down, but i also have motor mount inserts and a stiffy, sooooo.... i say go poly if its ur DD
Re: energy suspension LCA bushings...
ive had my energy poly ones for about a week now and there great. but if your hardcore and want to test out the metal $200 dollar ones then go for it but i just dont see why a piece of rubber and metal should cost that much! and then add like 40 bucks to get them pressed in and out unless you got acces to these tools.

Re: energy suspension LCA bushings...
Well, I just had my car checked out at Honda today... and my compliance bushings are shot as well! Both sides!
I'm looking for some Energy Suspension replacements (Black ones) but I'm wondering what comes in the package.
Does it come with 2 Compliance Bushings only? Or, does it come with 2 Compliance Bushings and 2 Lower Control Arm Bushings?
Could someone verify this for me!?
I also need new Outer Tie Rod ends (but I'll stick to OEM ones for this, as I don't think there are any aftermarket ones).
And to make it worse... they said all my shocks are gone too! (running B&G's for a couple years now, but have hit many potholes).

Re: energy suspension LCA bushings...
What's the difference between the Black & the Red Polyurethane Bushings ?
Does one squeak more than the other?
What kind of grease do you guys after it's been installed for sometime?
I understand that the package comes with special poly grease.

Re: energy suspension LCA bushings...
