Tokico blues and stock springs install help plz!!!
Got some blues for upfront, and Im trying to use the stock springs. I have everything put together correctly but when I try to put the complete unit in, its to long to attach to the spindle and nothing lines up.
I used the spring compressors to try and shorten the unit, but it didnt seem to shrink the unit much at all. What the hell am I doing wrong??? (Using drop springs are so much easier!) I even tried to shrink it using a jack but I couldnt get a safe angle on it!

it seems to be laying all the way down, but ill take a looky. is there any way the axles can pop out? the spindle seems to be extended all the way.

you didn't get what i said... when you try to put the whole thing in, you have to push down on the control arm... as you do it... step on it, get someone else to push it or step on it... it takes a little muscle... the control arm rises up an inch or so when you take it out

Not a really good idea to put too much pressure on the control arm. You'll be in more trouble if you break it.
Shorten the unit as much as possible by screwing in the 17mm bolt at the top as much as you can. Then get the bottom part of the struts in first, screw one of the 17mm in. Gently push the control arm down, and try to slide the top part in.
Or, you can get the top part in first, hold the unit there by screwing in one or two of the 14mm bolt. Then gently push the control arm down until you can slide in the bottom part. Good luck.
