Question People with Tokico Blues, How is the ride quality?

I put on Blues a couple of weeks ago matched with Tokico Springs (1"-1.4" drop) and the ride quality was good...for the first few days. Then after it settled, my car went back to riding rough as it was before when I was dropped 2 inches and had 19's. I thought that getting 16's with a larger profile tire and new springs and struts would solve the problem, but it is still riding very rough and I hate to say it but I am very dissatisfied with the result. I don't know maybe I am expecting too much from these struts, and was expecting it to ride like a cadillac, but I guess that's not gonna happen in the meantime...

susuking is on a distinguished road
all depends on matching the right springs to the right struts. i duno how is the spring rate on both of them, but i've tried with tein s tech and tokico blues, and still rides like stock. but lower by 1.7" all around. but expecting caddilac ride quality? forget it, but wait, do cadillac ride good? i duno,

haha, I was just exagerrating about the cadillac part, but when I purchased the struts I bought them as a kit with the springs (Tokico Kit HP304), and they were supposed to be a perfect match up. I can't honestly say I remember what my car rode like stock since it was a while ago, but it definately rides the same before on my old setup, only without bouncing around.

Ok that's cool that I'm not the only one that thinks it's rough, but damn, I just spent a little over $400 on this setup expecting a nice ride quality, only to be left cringing everytime I cross an intersection and hit the road strips.

my friend with a nissan maxima also has the blues and his ride is the exact same as mine, the loud bang when you go over a pothole or bump...its just the blues in general. I have hit one so bad my cd stopped playing and the coin tray opened up

I have them, its still rough as hell, but no more bouncy bouncy. They are nice for taking corners a little quicker and the car feels more stable, but dont expect to have your *** padded, heh.

I've got the blues with B&G springs. My ride is pretty good and I have 18's with 40 series tires.

I have tokico blues with stock springs and stock 185/70/14 dunlop tires. Ride is better than stock shocks overall but it is more rough over really sharp edges like uneven freeway expansion joints, unfinished man hole covers, rail road tracks. Otherwise it rides pretty well, I like it, especially over speed bumps.

tokico blues are pratically stock replacements, if u want a better shock setup i would suggest Koni yellow on ground control coils.

you blew your shocks because you dropped it too low. You're not suppose to drop below 1.5"

Yea but don't you need to cut down the bump stop a bit?
