Stock spring sag on 2002 RSX-s
Stock spring sag on 2002 RSX-s
A couple questions:
1. Has anyone seen or heard evidence that the stock springs sag significantly over time? I know that some sag is normal. MY car has 82K miles and the rears appear to be sagging a bit. There is approxiately "3 finger" width between the tire top and fender.
2. Does anyone know of after market springs, with spring rates higher than stock, but which do NOT lower the car (compared to stock springs)? I have reviewed the spring comparison shown on the performance tuning thread, but I believe that info to be somewhat dated.
Again, my car is a 2002 RSX-S.
Thanks.

The info is not dated, once released, the aftermarket spring specs stay fairly constant.
There only spring that was more or less stock height and a bit firmer is the Neuspeed Sofsport. They don't make them for all applications. Check also the Eibach prokit and the Tein H-tech. All of which are pretty mild.
The car sagging probably isn't the springs, but the shocks. They wear out over time, the sag you see is probably the shocks losing their seals. Replace the shocks and I have a feeling the car will go back up. Its not the springs.
Not to deter new peeps... but look also at clubRSX.com
The cars share a chassis, but there are differences.

I agree with boiler. First, change the shocks. Second, if you aren't happy try neuspeed sofsport, if you don't want a drop.
