Stock shocks blown..
I currently have a 01 Lx civic w/ stock everything. The stock shocks have finally gone out and i've finally got a little cash for a forced upgrade so I'm going to get neuspeed sport springs w/ KYB AGX shocks. Please pardon the noobish question but do I need anything else? The sport springs lowers approx. 1.75 (F) & 1.5 (R).

Please refer to the post entitled: I'm gonna pimp slap the next person who asks if they need a camber kit , LOL
. You can probably get away whith just getting the rear, but I would get both since the front is sooooooo cheap. Also dont forget to set aside some cash to get your alignment done afterwards.

buddy you don't tell me what is dumb and what not, I have been driving a lowered car for couple of years now without a camber kit and I've never noticed any camber wear on any of tires I've owned. For real enthusiast modifying their suspension is for sole purpose of getting around corners faster and faster, this eats up the outer part of the tires cancelling out the so called camber wear on inner portin of the tire. Understood? it's not rocket science it's common sense buddy so think before you post.
All this being said, I strongly recommend a camber kit for average daily grandma style drivers like you who modify their suspension only cuz it looks cool lowered.
The only camber adjustment mod I would ever own is camber plates which will enable me to gain more neg camber in the front to help finally eliminate the unpleasent understeer. hope I was helpful.

Those S-turns and sharp corners that I take at high speeds EVERY DAY to work result in even tire wear.
Most of us know to keep hard driving on the track...
but 90% of us on this board drive their car hard on STRAIGHT ROADS a la drag race style. Lots of stop and go traffic. No turns.
I'm sure if the guy kept swerving on the road to keep the tire's road contact even he would be able to get away without a camber kit.
Please don't give people the wrong advice.
I'm not giving ppl the wrong advice, my personal experience has proved camber kit to be completely useless (for my style of driving) and to be honest I don't give a fvck what others say or think. goodbye and have a nice day

Thats almost Kind of right in a misguided convoluted sort of way...
But lets dissect this for a moment. By your logic, as the car is lowered it naturally gains negitive camber. Thus increasing the amount of inside tread wear. And by "driving hard" you negate this increase in inside shoulder wear due to Tire roll over and such wearing the outside shoulders. Giving the tire "even wear".
So, what you are saying is overdriving the car helps to make your tires wear more evenly there fore extending the life of your tires (what most people get camber kits for in the first place). Problem here is, your tires arn't lasting any longer by doing this, but infact are probably getting worn out quicker. Why? Simply because you are still getting the same amount of inside shoulder wear as the average joe schmow is getting putting around the street, only difference is you are also wearing the ouside shoulders the same amount (and getting the added "fun" of extra understeer). So really you are just masking the problem. Tie that in with the fact that the front end of this car doesn't really gain that much negitive camber as the car is lowered (unlike the rear end) you end up wearing the outside shoulder more then the inside any ways (on the front end) and the rear ends up still wearing the inside shoulders more (the rear doesnt roll over r compress much in a turn).
Conclusion. If you lower your car for daily driving, get a camber kit to prolong the life of your tires. if you "drive hard" then you ABSOLUTLY POSITIVLY should get a camber kit, but unlike daily driving, you get the kit to improve handling (because you are destroying the tires just as fast as some one with no kit any ways, you may as well have the benifit of a decent alignment). Hell, I'd get a camber kit even if I had a stock suspension, if for nothing more then to get away from the craptackular OEM alignment specs.
So basically in your case, your not saveing your tires AND you have a car that doesnt handle nearly as well as it could. because youv'e gained negitive camber where you don't want it (the rear) and Havent gained much if at all where you do (the front)
Just for an example... this is what happens when I autocrossed with my car and had Less then -1 Deg static camber on the nose... (all the excessive wear is on the outside shoulders)

i love buying tires! but my newest set has been on for 5 months now with so little wear... damned camber kit
hehe jokes aside, having a kit wont hurt you more than not having one, unless its un/mis-aligned like a ****

I'm dropped on neuspeed sports. I have a rear camber kit in the back. My rear tires (205/45/17) were rubbing, so I got it adjusted to negative 2 camber on each side.
Best comment of the thread so far.
