Problem with my new Tein and Tokico suspension
Alright, so I just got my Tein S Tech and Tokico Blues with SPC camber kit installed yesterday. When I went back to pick up my car, damn the car looks really hot. But when I drove it, every time I take a slow left or right turn, I heard some clicking sound from the front struts.
Here is another problem, whenever I ran over a bump, my rear wheels always scrap the fender. I got 215/45/17 wheels.
So I wonder any of you guys experience this. Any opinions on these?
Thanks

No it couldn't be the wheels are to big because I have almost the same set-up as you. I have had this setup for the last 6 months and no problems.
(Setup)
18" wheels - Tokico blues all around - Tein-S-Tech spings in the front - Tein-H-Tech spings in the back.

I am sorry, i didn't mean my wheels but my tires (215/45/17). Is these tires too big? I checked your rides (texascivic2k1), it seems like your wheels are deeper inside than mine. My wheels seem like stick out outside a bit so it is easily touched the wheel fender. I wonder what causes that?
Yeah I'll definitely will do that.

But if you want to talk about the rear suspension then...That is the reason I got the H-Techs in the rear so the sag in the back wouldn't play a factor in the suspension. It pretty much levels out with the system or with a passenger in the back. But yeah the offset on your rims is different than mine which does play a factor also.
To fix it... maybe rolling your rear fenders???
edit: ^^^ boilermaker beat me to it.

215/45/17 ??? damn mang.. shouldnt it be 205/40/17?
kinda like:
205/60/15
205/50/16
205/40/17
205/30/18

Come to conclusion I have to switch the tire to 205/40/17 instead. The shop won't guarantee the rolling up fenders work, cos they afraid of cracking the paint. Now I can't drive my car til the tire change.

Uh no you don't lol. I ran 215 45 17's for like a year on my stechs. Just either roll your fender, or get them to add JUST enough negative camber to the back wheels so it wont rub anymore. I run crazy negative camber in the back so I don't have to roll my fenders, and I'm probably close to like 2.5 down. The tad bit of negative that will let you clear your fenders wont do you a bit of harm. It wont be enough to cause noticable uneven wear.

Hey man that's great to hear. Are you sure that won't do any harm to the tire ? Can you post some pic of your rear wheel? I really wanna see how is the tires condition now after a year because of negative camber.
Thanks in advance

I'm running neo gens, have had the same set for about 1.5 years. I've probably been at like -1 for the entire time so they don't rub, nad there is no noticable uneven wear. I don't have any pictures though.

After thinking for couple of days, I think the best option is to change my tires. My wheels are 17x7 with +37mm offset. So I am thinking to change the tire to 215/40/17 or 205/45/17. Which one do you guys think is the best for my condition?

btw, I dropped on neuspeeds sports though.
I think your best option is to roll the fenders, or add negative camber. You could change the tire size, but what if the next tire size you get doesn't fit?? are you going to spend more money on tires again??
