Front Sway NOISE is BACK. AGAIN. Opinions needed.

Ok, for you guys that have the front progress sway bar and cant stand the noise any longer, or the constant regreasing, I have something for you. I am tired of that noise too. About 2 months ago in the early spring I regreased, yup, with 'marine' quality grease cause thats what I heard works best and lasts the longest. And I sanded the inside of the polyurethane bushing, cause I heard that might help too. Well that noise is back, and its only June 3rd.

So, I must do something up and above the usual regreasing this time. I dont want to keep regreasing every 3 months. Here is my idea. I figure the grease is disappearing because there is no space between the bushing and the bar, so what I want to do is cut some fabric, like cotton tshirt material, soak it in marine grease and place it around the bar and inside the bushing. I figure the material will hold the grease longer, at least, and extend regrease intervals.

What do you think? Can anyone improve this idea a little bit before I regrease. Again?

Thanks.

burke420,

I have tried Grey's endlinks, but I went back to stock. My ride is not lowered so since I dont generate as much sway I decided to go back to stock. They are holding up fine for me.

When I got the bar, I installed according to spec, using the supplied grease. The noise only appeared months after install, and what happens is you get a squeak because there is no 'clearance' between the poly bushings and the
progress bar, and there is a sh1tload of force going on there. We live in Ohio, so there is quite the mixture of weather. Anyway, since there is no clearance at some point all the grease gets squeezed out of that joint and the sqeaks begin. Just you wait.

So, to hold that grease in there I am going to insert a patch of fabric coated with the old marine grease to see how long it takes the squeaks to come back. The question is, what fabric would work best? -- burlap? i would think yes, but it might be too thick, but the large weave would seem like it would retain the grease better. Let me know if you have an idea on this detail.

i have noticed that if you could maybe let some leather soak in it for a couple days, maybe thatll hold, since leather would also get moist when it rains. but i would say use a super thick cloth, leather is my guess.....i hope it works, let me know
