strut bar install

Just got the Neuspeed front upper tie bar for my 2005 lx sedan. Will I have to jack up one side of the car to install this thing?

depends if it will bolt on regularly, place it on the struts and see if it fits, if its like an inch or so off you will have to jack it up, that helps.

When I put mine on, there was no need to jack it up.

I had to jack my car up to relieve some of the flex in that area. That was the only way to fit the Neuspeed bar on, and even then it was a bit of a fight and a rubber mallet had to step in and resolve things.

What is this 6mm nut for? I can understand the covers for the bar, but why is the 6mm in the package with them?

I forget what the instructions said that was for but it was not applicable on my 03 LX. I almost had to jack up my car when I put mine on but I persueded it to go on with a hammer.

Yeah I had to force it a little. But once I got everything lined up, it went on pretty easily. I would definately recommend an even surface.

if you use a hammer, try a rubber mallet and a cloth, dont want to bend the bar or chip it. be careful take your time. manover it best with your hands.

Isn't the extra bolt to relocate your clutch fluid reservoir?
