19" too big for cornering?
i'm thinking about upgrading from 17" rims to 19"x7.5. i've been thinking about pros and cons and the biggest one i can think about for myself is, would they be too big when i take hard corners? i push my TEIN BASICS to the max whenever i take corners and i'm just fearful that 19" rims might rub or possibly tear out the plastic fender lining in such a turn.
thanks!!!

My 19s are perfectly fine.... i do not slam on the gas while turning though. Im tucking so i took out the fender wells (you cant see them) and you might want to get your fenders rolled for extra clearance. So if you plan on taking turns very fast...they are not for you. As for corners...if your set up is good then you will should have a problem
^^^am i the only one lost on this one?? why 19?? you just want "the look"? if so, then why he tein coilovers?? some megan or even some knockoff coilovers would have been just as good... i guess what i'm trying to say is you need to choose which is more important to you, a slammed ride that handles well, or rollin low and sportin 19s. i'd say get the 19s and slow down a little more for the corners, but that's just my opinion..

the reason i'm thinking about 19s is because i've came to a conclusion that my car isn't going to be any faster than what it is and it pretty much is a daily driven car that i enter into shows all the time. 19s will make my car look a lot better but i love taking corners. err....i might just settle with 18s... damnit!
anymore responses would be good!

all i have to say is with the HP our cars have.. i think getting 19's is just.. ridiculous, unless you have a K-swap in your car or you're turbo'd. it wouldn't be smart moving up from 17's to 19's, 18's might be SLIGHTLY more reasonable, but that's up to you

I wouldn't go flying around on 19s. 1. you're risking rolling over on the rim lip because there's no tire, do that and you might as well kiss a lot of stuff good bye 2. they're heavy and you'll have to fight it back to center 3. tires are expensive
