Exclamation UPDATED! To those with B&G Coilovers, please read! Visit link! Help!

Hello 7thGen!

To those of you that have or have had the B&G S3 Coilovers, could you please visit the following link for the pictures of the set I recently purchased to see if it's complete.

http://community.webshots.com/user/l23tan

I'm wondering why the #'s on the front springs are not identical. The two rear springs are identical so I'm not worried about that. I have called B&G regarding this matter, and Mike @ Ext. 224 assured me that it was fine. However, I'm not 100% convinced.

I would appreciate the feedback from 7thGen Members who have these Coilovers to verify the Spring #'s for me and to please let me know if there is anything missing with my set from looking at the pictures.

Also, please post your reviews of this Coilover set. I have done a lot of reading and research on the forums, and all the reviews have been great! I can't wait to get these installed in the Spring.

Thank you very much!

I didn't take a picture of those, but yes... they did come with a PAIR of Wrenches!

You're very observative! Thanks!

How is the Coilover set though? Looks complete? Any input on the Spring#'s?

One Spring is 200-60/85-40 the other is 200-40(60/85). I think they could be the same, just stamped in a different order? Overall size and number of Coils seem to match. Maybe I'm just worrying too much.

Sorry I don't have B+Gs to really help you out.
And yes you should have received 2 wrenches.

You should call B+G again and ask what the numbers mean so you know why they are different.

I think I'll call Mike again, but he'll probably just give me the same answer. I mean, of the springs in the rears are the same, why would the fronts be any different. I think this is a valid question.

When you say the spring numbers were different, are you talking about the Fronts as well? Do you recall if the numbers on my Front Springs were the same as yours? Probably not, huh?

I ordered them a while back from a Vendor on Ebay. A couple other members on this site ordered the same set. I have contacted them, but they are not sure about the Spring numbers.

How low do you have yours set at? Roughly what is the distance from the first thread to the bottom of the first Lock Ring?

leo, i think the numbers are supposed to be different on the front springs because of the fact that they have to turn a certain way when you steer the car. im actually going to be installing a new front brake s/u next weekend maybe and i can look at the numbers then to make sure, if you can wait that long. everything looks good to go by the pictures. get those bitches in already! DAMN SON

Hey Brad, it's been a while!!! How's it going?!?!

Thanks a lot, if you could please check for me while you're working on your brakes, that would be great! I'll have them installed in another few months! I'm going to wait until after the winter season.

I know your car is pretty much slammed. I recall a picture I've seen before that from the ground to your front lip, it's the distance of the Honda key? How much distance (or threads), front and back do you have showing from the bottom of the assembly to the bottom lock ring?

i raised the back a few threads not to long ago to get rid of some badass camber issues i had with the offset of my rims. the front is the same, but nonetheless, i can count the threads when i work on the suspension/ brakes. ill let you know the numbers and the thread count; just dont let me for get

Where are you going to find your B&G's?!
I thought they were discontinued since B&G came out with a new model Coilover?
If you do get them, let me know what the spring #'s are!
Thanks!

Finally! All my questions have been answered and verified by B&G!

After talking to Ron and Mike (great guys) over at B&G for a good 30 minutes, they took their time to assist me with my concerns and checked out the pics I have uploaded. They assured me the springs are 100% correct and the vendor I purchased from Ebay was legit because it was one of their contacts they had sell out all remaining stock/inventory.

I must say, after all this time, I've never felt so relieved. I just hope installation goes well, and rides as good as I hope it will.

They also mentioned they have redesigned the coilovers and that there are 2 new models out. The PS and the RS. I checked out the website and they look sweet! Does anyone have these yet? I believe only the PS is out for our cars, while the RS is still in developement.

Thanks for everyones help during my ordeal. I appreciate it.

This forum is great!

Thanks!
It won't be for another few months... however, I am going to order my 01 upper mounts and bearings, just so I have everything ready.
I can't wait!!!
However, I also need to get my rear fenders rolled so my tires don't rub the edge of the inner fender.

Brad, did you have to roll your rear fenders???
