rear sway bar LX

Anyone think this would work for lx owners looking to bolt on a rear sway bar? I have seen the diy for the lx without using the progress mount kit and these tabs look similar to the ones that were custom made for the diy.

it may work...u may wanna pm that person or measure up your own controll arm and also make sure the hole is the right size. i think most people would just go w/ the progress cuz its bolt-on.
it shows the dimensions on the site so u may be able to mock up a cardboard cutout and try it.

hey looked at it again....good find....they have undrilled brackets too.

u kno how much they are?

Those look like they would definately fit. Although the ones without the pre-drilled hole might be better since you can drill out the hole you need to. Our cars are metric, so I doubt that the 3/8" hole will be the right size.

I have the Progress Mounting kit and it's not perfect. It takes up a lof of space. It prevents you from using aftermarket endlinks. It rusts up on you. It's heavier than those simple tabs welded on to the lower control arms. It might move around if you don't bolt it up tight. It has pockets that gather dirt. I might actually get rid of those brackets and go with these tabs.

Good find!

Metric, good point. You just covered all of my concerns with the progress mount kit. I'll go by O'Reilly today and check the price.

O'Reilly had to order them and needed a min order of $50. However SECO in B'ham can order them by single packs (which contains 4 brackets). The cost per pack is $14.99.

If you order the ones without the hole in them and you don't need two of them, then consider selling me two of them. PM me if you want to do that.
