Springs installed problem

Hey guys I finished installing some neuspeed springs on my car yesterday, the only problem I have is the fronts dont seem right. The springs are huge and dont touch the rubber thing thats on top of the strut that holds the whole assembly together? The spring just pushes up on the metal around that area? Is this normal for these springs? Now everytime I turn there is a horrible rubbing noise of the spring on the metal? Any suggestions?
