Question i want an honest answer on this one...

ive got a neuspeed front upper strut bar right? if i bought say a dc sports or megan rear lower tie bar by itself would it help to stiffen the suspension any or just be extra weight. i saw the $200+ neuspeed setup but wasnt willing to fork out the cash. looks nice though.

i have heard that a rear lower tie bar is for looks, and doesn't really do anything. so yeah, extra weight.

Straight from the FAQ

TIE BARS – some front under tie bars, specifically U braces/X braces/etc, do some under body reinforcement. Rear tie bars strengthen weak points (control arms) so that the chassis will not crack under pressure. Rear tie bars are not a performance part, but a brace if you upgrade your rear sway bar. The same goes for regular front under tie bars that attach to the control arms.

They are not performance parts. They help brace your chassis from the extra load caused by increasing your sway bar size.

as you said, looks nice.
The FAQ says it all, it's more of a reinforcement than anything else.

How do u like the neuspeed strutbar so far? btw I know a rear tie bar is a waste unless u want to upgrade ur rear swaybar.
