2005 Civic VP

I've read through the FAQ's and threads and I can't seem to find a solution to my problem. I have a 2005 Civic VP coupe and I want to get rid of some of the wheel gap. Is there any way I can lower my car without it being damaged in any way? I don't want to ride around on blown shocks and struts. I'm not terribly concerned with better cornering, I just want to get rid of the wheel gap. I'm rocking the 14" stock wheels with plastic hubcaps. Would 17's make the wheel gap look smaller, or would it still be the same? Do I have any options, or am I just pretty much screwed. Sorry if this is a really noobish question.

The vp is the same as any other 7thgen...do your research, pick the parts you want and install them.

i put in tein s tech springs and put on 215 45 17s, this helped with the gap, I only have about a one finger almost two finger gap (1.5 in). Also the ride is very good.

Get bigger tires.
Increase your overall wheel diameter and you'll lose some wheel gap but trade off is some extra ground clearance.
Rim size doesn't matter much; its the overall diameter that matters.

I've got an 05 VP also w/14' steelies. I put in Sprint Springs that gave it a 2' inch drop... I only have a finger gap also. Its a very nice stance all around.

Lower the car.
This is a bit rediculous, especially if you read the FAQ
