HELP QUESTION ON KONI w/ GROUND CONTROL
i have an 04 civic coupe .. the konis have alredy been mounted on the struts..i bought them with eibach sportlines.. but i wanted ground controls instead so i can adjust my height.. wen i installed the ground controls on the front.. i set the sleeve to the lowest height but wen i was finished it was higher than stock ( like 5 finger gap).. wen i began to drive i started hopping like i was on airbags
.. my rears are ok .. a lil bouncy (even wen i set the konis on all the way firm).. but i had to take out my fronts and put my stock struts back on .. can anyone pm me with any help? .. im beginning to think the ground controls aren't meant for konis but i have heard its been done.. thx

If the Konis were installed before the Ground controls (on the front) you are going to have to take the whole thing back appart.
for the fronts, you have to install the ground controls 1st and then insert the koni. theres a collar on the konis that holds the ground controls down when installed properly. if you install them backwards the ground controls end up sitting on top of the collar and giving you an abnormally high ride height among other problems...

hmm cuz i took out tha eibach springs and i simply replaced it with the gc's making sure i put everythin back to normal .. i guess i have to keep messing with it til i can make it work.. thx again for the replies.. i'll let u kno how it goes

To fix it, your going to have to take the konis out of the OEM strut housing, then install the Ground controls, Then Re-install the konis....

Slam the konis out. Have fun with that, and don't use anything with a sharp point. A mallet and a screwdriver handle for removable inserts works well.
Have an M12x1.25mm tap on hand, good luck finding that, you'll need it to chase the threads in the bottom of the koni after you smash them getting it out of the strut housing.
Put the O ring on, put the GC sleeve on and collar on, slam the koni back down, put the nut back on the bottom and re-install.
If you followed GCs instructions, I don't blame you for screwing up... those 4th grader instructions they give you are **** poor at best. I messed one up too.
