tein s tech questions
2005 Civic Coupe VP
brand new about 1k miles on it
used for daily driving (50 miles riverside--long beach 5 days a week)
im interested in getting the tein s-tech's
drop is 1.6front and rear
questions:
anyone got a pic of these on stock shocks?
i plan to get aftermarket shocks later on, how long will the stock shocks last and which shocks fit on these springs?(tokiko, koni, tein?...etc)
how's the ride quality? (ive previously had sprint springs on a 93 civic, and ride was terrible)
thanks

i thought it would be much lower than that...hmmm...would adjustable shocks help you get it lower?

it's a good height i think.
adjustable shocks wouldn't lower it, the car is sitting on the springs. if you want to adjust your car's height, get coilovers

I have a 02 EX, lowered it with ONLY s-tech's and the damn shocks blew about 2 months later. I also only drive ~50 miles back and forth between Riverside and home, and the damn shocks blew on me! Ever since my ride quality has sucked **** and I'm currently looking to get new setup using real deal shocks and springs; particularly tein basics.
Anyways; I recommend that if you are wanting to lower your car you do it PROPERLY and do it with shocks AND springs that were particularly made for those shocks; in other words, if you mix shocks and use springs that weren't made for those shocks, you have a chance for the shocks blowing and you do not want that **** to happen.
If anything I said is wrong, correct it, but what I'm telling you is out of personal experience with using springs only.
-While it may be cheap, it's going to **** up.
