strut bar install (NOOB)
hi, i have a 2000 6th gen civic and ive ordered a front strut bar.
when i opened the hood of my car i noticed that there is a metal sheet of some sort covering the two strut bar holes on each side. how do i get around this? Just drill right thru it?

no!! lol! unscrew the 2 rusty assed bolts on each side of that calcium encrusted bolt. then put the strut bar on. then screw the bolts back ontop of the strut bar.
OH....
i was looking in the wrong place...
oh so the bar goes there.
ok, now that seems a lot easier to do. thanks alot, majin.
yes, i will get new bolts for sure.
as you can see, i havent received my bars yet; i have a front and back one on its way.

cool. post those just to make sure lol. to get the calcium and rust off, just get some COCACOLA and drip some on the bolts. the coke will literally eat away the rust and calcium. cool trick

I suggest going to the dealer to get 4 new nuts. But follow Majin's advice.
