RSX endlinks thicker than ours?

are RSX endlinks thicker than our stock ones?

i have grey's endlinks right now, but the joint area is exposed to the environment, and bang around cause its so loose. I was thinking about using shrink wrap and wrapping the moving terminals after applying grease, so it'll be like a pocket of grease to constantly lube the joints, but that process seems like a pain in the ***

so if RSX endlinks are thicker, i may just order a set

thanks guys

i believe the RSX endlinks are thicker. my buddy was talkin about it a couple weeks ago since he's got a RSX and upgraded the swaybar to the Type R bar but didnt need to upgrade the endlinks because they were thick enough to handle that swaybar already.

I don't think the rsx endlinks are thicker, I think they are exactly the same as the civic.

The stock endlinks work good with the honda bars, the progress bar tends to break the endlinks because of the angle of force which is puts on the stock endlinks.

The Hotchkis endlinks seems like they have a rubber bushings to help reduce the sound, but I can't be certain, I guess it would be best to call them. I didn't notice a rubber boot in the pics though.

I have some endlinks from a dc5r ... and they're the exact same thickness ... but a little bit shorter.

yeah, i have progress sways, so i don't think the stock endlinks will live too long. I did look at the hotchkis endlinks but couldn't find much info about them.

Does anyone know anything about them? they are quite expensive.

as to the shrink wrap, I'm not sure, i was going to go to home depot and ask them if they have really big shrink wrap. If not, then i'm going to the chemistry department and jacking some Parafilm and mold that **** on.

I'm not sure how long the skrink wrap will last. But I see what your trying to do. You want to make boots around the bearings and inject grease in them so the'll stay quiet. Good idea. Are they really that noisy?

Did you tighten the endlinks while the suspension was under load?

they are REALLY noisy...the bolts and everything are tight, but the way Grey designed his endlinks allow for 60% motion which is good in terms of stress handling, but the ball/socket bearing moves SOOO smoothly even the slightest movement of the swaybar will move the bearing, and because there's no buffer, metal bangs on metal and makes that weird clicking noise.

That does sound annoying I wouldn't want a constant clicking sound.

do you the clicking is coming from this area, when the bearing rotates and there is metal to metal contact.

I was wondering if you were to silicone in those areas all the way around if it would get rid of the sound.

you are exactly right, that is where i believe the sound is comming from, i have not actually proved it cause it involves some1 under the car, and some1 else to shake it left and right and up and down. I can't do that cause i'll crush whoever's under there..lol, but silicon grease you said? will that be damaging to the bearing? cause if it is safe to apply, I might rub some on and see if the noise goes away.

Well mine isn't installed yet, so I went and moved it around and thats the part that hits when I move it around. I don't want to put the silicone around the bearing but around the metal part that pointed to since it is the one that hits the edge of the piece holding the bearing it place. But I wonder how long the silicone will last, and which to use that sticks to metal well.

I this these are the hotchkis, they have rubber in that area, I guess they knew about the noise issue.
